Sandra Lee Fleming Doyle, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a year's long battle with lung cancer on February 27, 2024, at Tidewell Hospice of Lakewood Ranch. She was born January 4, 1942, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Charles J. and Nona M. (Summers) Tuller.
Sandy graduated from Beloit Memorial HS class of 1960. She married Robert L Fleming on April 4, 1970. Sandy worked for St Anthony's Hospital early on and spent much of her professional career as Executive Vice President of Carter Corporation in Rockford IL. Sandy semi-retired in 1991 after the passing of her son, Christopher, and fully retired after the passing of her husband, Robert, in 2009. Sandy enjoyed many years of travel, loved history and visiting historical sites. She was an avid reader of novels, enjoyed great movies and embraced the last 8 years being a Mimi.
Sandy had a second chance at love and motor home travel with husband, Herb, who was ever at her side till the end. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to the end.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Christopher C. Fleming, and husband, Robert L. Fleming. Surviving, in addition to her partner and husband, P. Herb Doyle, are her son, Sean R Fleming, and his wife Martha of Bradenton; grandchildren, Kaytlyn R. Fleming and Jakob C. Fleming; brother, James C. Tuller of Okeechobee, FL; sister, Margaret A. (Tuller) Palubinski of Shopiere WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place later this year in WI. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, consider memorials given in her name to your local Hospice House, Animal Shelter, or Cancer Research Center of choosing.
