Sandra Rae Snurr, 79, died unexpectedly on August 10, 2024, at Aspire Health Group. She was born on March 12, 1945, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of the late Rae and Grace Lawson. Sandy graduated from Fairmont High School, class of 1963.
Following graduation, she married and had a son, Richard Lee Schick. In 1976, she met Dale Joseph Snurr while playing volleyball, and they were married on April 29, 1977. She worked for Ohio Bell for 26 years and retired in 1998. Dale and Sandy moved to Bradenton, FL, in 2012 to finish out their retirement in a golf course community, where they enjoyed playing their favorite game and spending time with all their friends. Sandy loved her family fiercely and wanted nothing more than to be with them as much as possible. Sandy was an avid golfer, making a hole-in-one once in her lifetime. She loved playing Mah Jongg, taking swim aerobics classes, and enjoying time with her social group, Tim Uquanian.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Taylor, and her son, Richard Lee Schick. Surviving, in addition to her spouse Dale, are her stepson Darren Snurr and his wife Stephanie of Springboro, OH; stepdaughter Kara Cimorelli and her husband Bob Arena; six grandchildren, Brandon Schick, Garrett Schick, Emma Cimorelli, Cameron Snurr, Evan Cimorelli, and Callie Snurr; and four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Schick, Lennon Schick, Henry Schick, and Theo Schick.
