BRADENTON--The SCF Manatees are making a habit of winning games in the last second. Two weeks ago, Derrek Robbins hit a three-pointer to defeat St. Petersburg as time ran out. On Saturday afternoon, Josh Mason drained a baseline shot with three ticks left on the clock to edge Polk State College 63-61 at Hal Chasey Gym.
Jonathan Miller paced SCF with 19 points and Odi Onyekachukwu scored 16 for the Manatees who even its Suncoast Conference record at 3-3. SCF and Hillsborough CC are tied for second in the conference, one game behind Polk State (4-2).
The Manatees next game will be Wednesday night at home against St. Petersburg College in another Suncoast Conference tilt beginning at 7:00 p.m.
