BRADENTON – Doctors, developers, businesses and other interested parties have a great opportunity to put an offer on two prime locations as the School District of Manatee County is actively marketing a couple of surplus properties during the month of September. The deadline for submissions of offer on the two properties is 3 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013.
The Manatee County School Board approved the two properties for surplus on February 23, 2009, and the Manatee District’s 5-Year Educational Plant Survey was updated to reflect these properties as surplus on June 25, 2012.
The two properties are a vacant property in Ellenton and the school district’s Parent Information Center. The Parent Information Center was previously appraised at $840,000 and the Ellenton property was previously appraised at $460,000.
“The school district’s recent experience with selling properties shows that prices can fluctuate greatly,” said District Spokesman Steve Valley. “The sale of the Checkers property recently approved by the School Board was for $2,070,000, and that property was appraised for $1,650,000.”
More information can be found on the Parent Information Center property here and on the Ellenton property here.
