School District Releases Repayment Schedule of Internal Account Fund Donations

BRADENTON -- One of the four priorities of the Financial Recovery Plan submitted earlier this year by Manatee County Schools Superintendent Rick Mills and approved by the Manatee County School Board was to repay a portion of the internal school account funds donated by Manatee District schools during the last school year.

Taxpayers can click here for a schedule for repayment of those funds, including an initial give back to schools for this school year. The amount reflected in the attachment as of August 16, 2013, is included in each individual school's fiscal year budget for 2013-2014.

The document reflects the contributions made by each individual school and outlines the repayment process. The first repayment reflects 33% of the donated amount from each school. In addition, the attached document reflects the proposed payments each school will receive over the next two fiscal years -- with the ultimate goal being to repay 100% of the donations as of July 31, 2015.

The School Board, Superintendent Mills and his Executive Leadership team are firmly committed to keeping promises made to Manatee District schools and to the Manatee County community. This repayment schedule of internal school account funds is another indication of that commitment.
