School District Unveils New Web Resource to Help Public Follow Strategic Planning

BRADENTON – In the spirit of transparency and openness, the Manatee County School District has established a Strategic Planning web page so the public can follow and stay fully informed as the district creates and implements a new strategic plan. The web page, which can be accessed by the link below, will serve as the primary vehicle to deliver information to the public throughout the strategic planning process.

The School District of Manatee County’s Strategic Planning Team met December 11-12, 2013, to begin development of the strategic plan. Information currently posted on the district’s Strategic Planning web page includes information from that meeting as well as other important items as follows:

• Planning meeting outcomes and next steps

• PowerPoint deck from the meeting

• Worksheets from the group work during the meeting

• Flip chart scans from the group work during the meeting

• Audio recordings from both days of the meeting

• Proposed planning calendar for remainder of the school year
