The family of Sharon Baker Aucar, 74, of Ellenton, FL sadly announces her passing on August 1, 2025. Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by family members. Sharon was born February 13, 1951, in Darlington, SC to Edward Eugene and Mary Elizabeth Baker (both deceased). Sharon is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dr. Alfred Aucar, a son, Alex Aucar, and a daughter, Allison Aucar. She is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Baker (David Daniel) and Lorraine "Polly" Baker, a nephew, Jim Melton, a great niece, Jennifer Melton and a great nephew, Nicholas Melton. Sharon was a registered nurse. The majority of her career she worked as an emergency room nurse. She and her husband, Al, moved from South Carolina to Florida in 1986, most recently residing in Ellenton, FL.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2025, at 5:00PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 5:30PM at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Stroke Association (a division of the American Heart Association).
