Sharon Sue Rickerd, 82, of Bradenton, FL, died in her home of natural causes on May 11, 2025.
She was born in Moline, IL in 1942 to Alma and Clarence Rogers. Sharon was a loving mom, grandmother, wife, and teacher. She loved to play golf, host parties, and enjoyed watching Florida State University play football.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rickerd, son, Robert Rickerd, and both parents. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Rickerd, grandchildren Travis (Jennifer) Smiley, Scott (Alisha) Rickerd, Stephanie (Joshua) Davis, Kasey Smiley, Margaret Rickerd, Lydia Rickerd, and Nolan Rickerd, along with six great-grandchildren.
A burial service will take place on June 20th, 2025, at Sarasota National Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
