Sheila S. Jackson, 80, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023.
Sheila was born in Cleveland, OH, on June 28, 1942, and was the daughter of Alfred and Florence Schmacker. Sheila graduated from Palmetto High School in 1960 and attended Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC. She returned to Manatee County and married Roy D. Jackson of Bradenton on July 7, 1962. She worked as a dental hygienist before raising her family and was a devoted volunteer for many organizations including the Entre Nous Club of Manatee County and Service Club of Manatee County for which she served as President during 1999-2000.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; her son, R. David Jackson, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Danielle, of Lakewood Ranch; her son, Christopher Paul Jackson and daughter-in-law, Kelly, of Accord, NY; her grandchildren, Dylan and Abbey; her niece, Emily Newman; her brother, Stuart Holland; her sister, Michele English; dearest friends, Thomas and Mary Stoll; her beloved schnauzer, Daisy and many other friends and family.
The family is planning for a private Celebration of Life in March. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
