SMO Cocktail Competition Returns Apr. 14

SARASOTA—Sarasota-Manatee Originals' "Set the Bar" Cocktail Competition returns for its sixth year on Sunday, April 14, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. The event showcases the region's top mixologists competing to see who slings the best cocktails in Sarasota-Manatee.

Twenty-five accomplished mixologists representing restaurants from across Sarasota and Manatee Counties will present their innovative concoctions in five distinct spirit categories. In addition to a panel of industry experts, attendees can sample these creations and vote for their favorites. The judging criteria will encompass flavor, appearance, bartender presentation, and imagination.

"Set the Bar was created to celebrate the immense talent of our local bar programs,” said Liza Kubik, SMO Marketing & Communications. Just like chefs in the kitchen, our bartenders play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences. We're thrilled to shine a spotlight on their creativity and expertise."

This year's competition is partnered with Children First, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the healthy development of children and families. All proceeds from a silent auction will benefit this important cause.

Tickets are on sale for $85 each. At-the-door tickets will be offered at $95 per person and subject to availability.
