SOLVE Maternity Homes Seeks Director of Development & Community Relations

BRADENTON -- SOLVE is seeking a qualified Director of Development and Community Relations to help the non-profit develop a dynamic funding expansion and diversification through various channels of solicitation. The group, who for 36 years has helped provide a home for struggling mothers and their babies, has a long history of working with women in crisis who chose life in their unplanned pregnancies, including two homes right here in Bradenton. The notice for the position appears below:

Manasota SOLVE Maternity Homes, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, has been providing a home for pregnant women whom have chosen life for their babies since 1976. We operate three homes in Bradenton and Englewood Florida which provide a structured residential program for twenty women at a time. SOLVE is currently seeking to fill the full-time position of Director of Development and Community Relations which will play a key role in advancing our mission and providing continued ministry growth.

 

The DOD will be responsible for developing a major gifts program as well as expanding and diversifying funding resources for SOLVE Maternity Homes through targeted direct solicitation of individual gifts, planned giving to increase the agency's new endowment fund and community outreach and partnership development. The DOD will also partner with the Executive Director, Board of Directors and other staff members to research, coordinate, obtain and maintain required information to ensure timely and accurate grant proposal submissions.

Applicants should be results driven and have dedication and passion for the mission of SOLVE.

 

The successful candidate will be a highly energetic professional with a track record of cultivating relationships and designing solicitation strategies for closing sales of $10,000 and higher. Must be comfortable working individually and in a team environment, possess excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and documentation skills - written and verbal, be computer literate and have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. A valid driver's license, car and current auto insurance are required. 3-5 years association with community based social services organizations is preferred.
