Spotlight on Education: Nolan Students Finish Cafeteria Mural

Posted

BRADENTON – Fifteen students from Nolan Middle School’s Fine Arts Club for Talented Students (FACTS) have completed a three-month long mural project representing HOSA-Future Health Professionals. The students painted the 9’ x 6’ mural on a wall in the school’s cafeteria under the direction of Nolan Art Teacher Wade Smith to display images of wholesome food production in an agricultural theme supporting the importance of dairy, grains, fruits and vegetables.

Nolan Middle School HOSA advisors Pam Rahn and Michelle Boculac secured a grant for the mural representing the Fuel Up to Play 60, a nationwide movement focused on fighting childhood obesity by empowering kids to take control of their own health.
