BRADENTON -- SETV is once again sitting on top of the state of Florida in broadcasting. Southeast High's legendary student-run program just won its 8th consecutive state championship in the SkillsUSA Broadcast News division. The School swept 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Juniors Danny Shevlin, Sydney Mitchell, Luiz Walle and Gabby Murphy will be going for the school's 4th national championship in 5 years next month in Kansas City. The school also won the TV Video Production division for the first time in five years, with Mallory Robinson and Kevin Weger bringing home the gold.
This marked the first time ever that every team a school took to the state championships brought home a medal. TBT salutes all of the SETV competitors and Southeast's Director of Television Mike Sanders for their hard work and continued success.
