BRADENTON-St. Petersburg College defeated SCF 84-67 Wednesday night at Hal Chasey Gym in the next to last regular season home game for the Manatees. St. Petersburg opened a 12 point lead at halftime holding SCF to just 22 points in the first 20 minutes and coasted the rest of the way for the Suncoast Conference win.
Emmanuel Tiluscar led the Titans with 20 points, shooting 7 of 10 from the floor and 6 of 9 from the free throw line. Eric Williams had 16 points as St. Petersburg had five players score in double figures Wednesday night. John Miller paced SCF with 17 points including a trio of three-pointers. Josh Mason had 14 points while Reggie Baity added 11.
SCF (9-12, 3-4) is in a three-way tie for second in the Suncoast Conference with St. Petersburg and Hillsborough CC. Polk State College leads with a 5-2 record.
The Manatees travel to Polk State College Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off before returning home next Wednesday, February 16 to wrap up the regular season against Hillsborough CC.
