Stella M Friedman passed away peacefully in Bradenton, FL on October 27, 2022, at the age of 88.
Stella was born on April 27, 1934, in Orange, NJ to Raffaele and Giovannina (Rocca) Notaro. She was the youngest of six children. Stella graduated from Orange High School in 1952 and married the love of her life, Steve Friedman, in 1957. They had 3 children and resided in New Jersey, until their move to Lancaster, PA. in 1972. Stella became very active in their church at Our Lady of Lourdes, and worked as an accounts payable clerk for several manufacturing companies. In 1999 Stella and her husband retired to Bradenton, Fl. She was very active with her Condo community, St Vincent de Paul, and was a long time member of Saints Peter & Paul Apostles Catholic church. Stella enjoyed traveling, playing cards and mahjong, cooking and reading.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings and her husband. She is survived and will be sadly missed by, her children; Nancy (Friedman) Stellwagen and her husband Richard, Mark Friedman and his wife Anne, Matthew Friedman and his wife Soni , her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Saints Peter & Paul Apostles Church. Her final resting place will be at the church’s Memorial Garden. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26th 5624 26th Street West Bradenton, FL 34207 is in charge of the arrangements.
