Stuart Douglas Dinkelo, Sr., 76, of Horner passed away on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 in Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston, WV. He was born in Plainfield, NJ on April 8th, 1948, the only child of the late Herman Dinkelo and Martha (Martin) Dinkelo. On October 19th, 1974, he was united in marriage to Karen (Burkhammer) Dinkelo, who preceded him in death.

Cherishing the life of Doug is his two sons: Jason Dinkelo and wife, Angie of Horner and Stuart Douglas Dinkelo, Jr. and wife, Danielle of Weston and two loving grandchildren: Adam Dinkelo and Stuart Douglas Dinkelo, III.

Doug was a graduate of Dunellen High School of Dunellen, NJ and Piedmont College of Demorest, GA receiving a bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in History. He started a career in teaching but decided he wanted something else. Doug became a police officer in Dunellen, NJ and when he moved to Bradenton, FL was a deputy for the Manatee County Sheriff's office. He had a combined total of 33 years of police service when he retired.

Doug enjoyed traveling. He volunteered at the Stonewall Jackson dam. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in New Jersey and Scottish rite membership and Shrine in Florida that he enjoyed. Doug will be missed by his family and friends.

At Doug's request, he will be cremated under the compassionate care of Hardman Family Funeral Home's On-Site Crematory and his and his beloved wife's cremains will be entombed in a bench at the Weston Masonic Cemetery of Weston, WV.
