BRADENTON – Superintendent Rick Mills would like to invite the public to attend a special “State of the Schools Presentation” this coming Monday, August 11, in the auditorium at Braden River High School from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The presentation will take place the day before teachers return to work for the 2014-2015 school year and one week before students return to their classrooms.
Superintendent Mills will lead the presentation along with Deputy Superintendents Dr. Diana Greene and Don Hall and other members of the district’s Senior Leadership Team. The presentation will include a special focus on the district’s new strategic plan, titled “Foundations for Excellence” that was approved by the School Board at a regularly scheduled meeting on June 24, 2014. Developed in collaboration with the local community, the district’s strategic plan provides a clearly-defined focus for moving forward and a means to rigorously monitor results to make sure goals are being met.
The presentation is also expected to be broadcast live on EDV-TV, which can be viewed in Manatee and Sarasota Counties on Brighthouse channel 620 and Verizon channel 39. The presentation will also be viewable by live streaming on the internet at: http://www.useducationtv.com/Default.aspx?sid=13869
