Susan Schackne Wronsky, of Bradenton, FL, died peacefully on June 9, 2024 after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was 84.

Sue was born on September 30, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio, to Virginia (Fifer) and John R. Schackne. After a short time in Toledo, she moved with her family to New York, NY where she grew up. Sue received an Associate's degree from Centenary College in New Jersey before working for a brief time as a flight attendant for TWA. She met Sam Wronsky in Elizabeth, NJ and they were married after a short courtship. Together they had three children, Chris, Cathy, and Mike, and after Sam's time in the army based in Ft. Stewart, GA, the young family eventually settled in Liverpool, NY where they lived for many years.

After her children were in school full time, Sue began a second career in retail, working for twelve years at Hayden Jewelers in Liverpool. She was a fixture in the store and had many regular customers who returned over the years to experience her expertise and friendly smile. There was not a customer who she didn't like and to whom she didn't give exemplary service. She was also very devoted to her faith and was a Deacon at the Clay Community Church in Clay, NY.

Despite her enjoyment of her work outside of the home, Sue's primary focus over her lifetime was her family. Becoming a grandmother at a relatively young age added much joy to her life, second only to becoming a mother. Sue loved to cook for her family, garden, bird watch, and make blueberry pancakes for her grandchildren. Sue wanted to be known for her kindness and compassion. All those who knew her would attest to these admirable attributes.

Sue & Sam relocated to Bradenton, FL in 2019 and attended Northwest Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a dedicated mother, devoted wife, wonderful friend, and a great companion.

Sue was predeceased by her parents and her brother Steven R. Schackne. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Samuel T. Wronsky, 3 children: Christopher John (Suzanne) of Potomac, MD, Catherine Ann (Brent Davis) of Richmond, VA, and Michael Peter (Nicole) of Bradenton; 5 grandchildren: Michael (Sarah), Eric, Kyle, Cassidy, and Holden, and 2 great-grandchildren, Hylah & Eli. A celebration of Sue's life will be held at Northwest Baptist Church, 7913 9th Ave. NW, Bradenton, FL 34209 on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Foundation (Bradenton Hospice House), 3550 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34239 or tidewellfoundation.org, or to one of your favorite charities.
