BRADENTON -- In response to improving water resources and supplies, the governing board of Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) voted to let the existing water restrictions expire.

Under the new rules that took affect Aug. 1, citizens may return to the Year-Round Measures that include lawn watering twice a week.

Local governments may choose to enact more stringent measures; City of Bradenton follows the water district’s recommendation on water usage rules.
