Tampa Bay Rowdies Players Hristov and Mulholland Named to NASL Best XI

TAMPA – Tampa Bay Rowdies midfielder Luke Mulholland and forward Georgi Hristov have been named to the North American Soccer League 2013 Best XI, which was selected by the coaches of the eight teams that competed in the 2013 NASL season.

Mulholland is a nine-time NASL Team of the Week selection who saw action in 25 games for the Rowdies and finished with 11 goals. The English born midfielder also dished out eight assists, which is tied for most in the league. He was selected twice as Player of the Month in April and October. Mulholland was also named to the 2012 NASL Best XI after a successful season with the Rowdies that culminated in the 2012 NASL Soccer Bowl Championship.

Hristov joins Mulholland in the NASL Best XI, leading the Rowdies in scoring with 12 and was tied for most assists in the league with eight. Chosen to the Team of the Week on seven occasions and once named as Player of the Week, the Bulgarian played 22 games in 2013.

The Bulgarian forward was named the NASL's Player of the Month in October, after playing a key role for the Rowdies offense. In that month, he led Tampa Bay to an unbeaten streak that reached 10 matches, while scoring four goals and adding an assist
