In our 16 years as a local news publication, we have never experienced the volume of important issues that exists in today’s news landscape. Whereas there used to be days spent tracking down worthy stories, they seem to be coming from a firehose every single day as we wind down 2025.
We know how difficult it is for members of our community to avoid being overwhelmed. As we head into Thanksgiving, we wanted to tell our loyal readers that we are thankful you continue to choose The Bradenton Times as your trusted source of news and analysis.
Times are tough, and there is a lot of economic struggle and uncertainty. We hope you and yours can enjoy a fulfilling Thanksgiving holiday, communing with friends and family over the things that we can be thankful for.
As we move toward 2026 and the midterm elections, all signs suggest that it will be an even more tumultuous year from Manatee County to Washington, D.C. We commit to doing our very best to continue informing the public opinion with fact-based reporting so that our community can cast informed votes in the upcoming primary and general elections.
As we learned in 2024, a group of voters whose love of our beautiful community brings them together to do the hard work of affecting democracy can accomplish just about anything. Rest up, eat some turkey, and enjoy the holiday season. Before you know it, we will be back in the trenches working to create and sustain the best Manatee County we can manage.
Sincerely,
The staff of The Bradenton Times

Without the Bradenton Times illuminating the Good, the Bad and the Ugly,
the good people of Manatee County would be wandering in a sea of ignorance without a rudder.
Multi-Kudos for the fantastic, honest work that you perform. Please keep it coming our way !
