BRADENTON -- The public hearing on the proposed Long Bar Pointe project will be held by the BOCC Tuesday afternoon at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, following a regular morning meeting at the commission chambers. (Two items on the regular meeting agenda, the proposed Martin Hillwood development and the McMullen Creek RV Park ordinance, have had discussion postponed.) The Council of Governments meeting slated for the same day has been cancelled - the next CoG meeting will take place October 6. The Palmetto City Commission will hold a workshop on Monday, followed by a regular meeting containing public hearings on proposed changes to public employees' and police officers' retirement systems. A Bradenton City Council workshop will take place on Wednesday.

For more information on the Long Bar Pointe issue, view TBT's full coverage section on it.
