This Week in Local Government: February 10-14, 2014

BRADENTON – During Monday's Manatee Tourist Development Council meeting, a new Vice Chair will be elected for 2014, and an update on the county's state of tourism will be given. At a special workshop on Monday night, the Manatee School Board will review the district's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for F.Y. 2012-2013. The BOCC's regular meeting on Tuesday morning will contain a vote on whether to award a contract for the Coquina Beach Nourishment Project to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company, LLC. Later on Tuesday, the school board will convene for a workshop and a regular meeting (which will include a vote on approval of the district's newly drafted Audit Commitee Charter). The Bradenton City Council will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, and the Manatee Planning Commission will meet on Thursday.
