This Week in Local Government: July 22-26, 2013

BRADENTON – A slew of local government boards meet on Monday. The Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization will discuss the Cortez Bridge Project, among other business in the morning. The Manatee School Board will hold a workshop in the afternoon regarding Internal Audit Services. A regular meeting will follow, where the board is slated to vote on whether to give preference to local businesses for purchasing and contracting. Monday night, the Palmetto City Commission convenes. On Wednesday, the Bradenton City Council will convene for a workshop.
