This Week in Local Government: July 28-August 1, 2014

BRADENTON – The Sarasota-Manatee MPO will hold a public hearing for amendments to the FY 2013/2014 – 2017/2018 and FY 2014/2015 – 2018/2019 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) during its meeting on Monday. That same day, the Palmetto City Commission will workshop, followed by a meeting. The BOCC will meet on Tuesday, with a discussion on whether to cancel meetings in August and November that fall on primary and general election days. The Bradenton City Council will workshop, and the BOCC will meet again on Wednesday for a budget session. The Manatee School Board will have a public hearing on adoption of the district's 2014-15 tentative budget on Thursday.
