This Week In Local Government: June 3-7, 2013

Posted

BRADENTON –  It's a busy week for local government boards. In a workshop on Monday afternoon, the school board will discuss candidates that have applied for soon to be vacant position of Board Attorney, the Student Progression Plan for the district, and options for outsourcing Internal Audit functions. In a special meeting following the workshop, the board is set to vote on whether to approve Superintendent Rick Mills's Re-Organization Plan for some high-level personnel positions in the District. At Tuesday's meeting, the BOCC will hold a Public Hearing and a vote on a proposed Noise Ordinance; the Manatee Port Authority will convene during that same meeting. A land use meeting will take place on Thursday.
