This Week in Local Government: May 5-9, 2014

BRADENTON – Following a workshop, the Palmetto City Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, regarding an ordinance that would amend the city's 2014-2018 election code. On Tuesday, the BOCC will vote on approval of an interlocal agreement with Sarasota County to create a public safety radio system. The commission will also vote on whether to spend about $200,000 on a "Healthcare System Analysis and Plan Development." The Bradenton City Council will workshop on Wednesday, and the Manatee Planning Commission will meet on Thursday.
