BRADENTON — There is only one meeting of note on local government calendars this week, a land use meeting of the Manatee County Commission is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 5. The meeting's agenda includes the adoption hearing item of a high-profile wetland protections comp plan text amendment. Due to higher-than-average public participation anticipated for the item, Friday has been reserved as a possible "overflow" date should the meeting agenda require more than one day to be completed.
