Arend DeGraan, 79, Bradenton, died July 9, 2014. Born in Amsterdam, Holland he moved to Bradenton in 1966 from New Jersey and was a member of Bradenton Christian Reformed Church.

Predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Antoinette (Deryter) DeGraan; son, Gerard; survived by wife, Klaziena of Bradenton, FL: daughter, Patricia (Mark R.) of Bradenton, FL; brother, Hank of CA; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

The Rev. John Andrew White, 86, passed away at Westminster Towers in Bradenton on July 4. 2014

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Dieffenwierth White of Bradenton, FL; sons, Maurice White (Geraldine Linehan White) of Plano, TX, and Dale White of Bradenton, FL; step-sons, Bill Dieffenwierth of Jacksonville, FL and James O'Cain Dieffenwierth of Venice, FL; step-daughter, Mary Damkroger of Richardson, TX; grandson, Jeremy White of Wylie, TX; granddaughter, Michelle White of Cornelius, NC; step-grandchildren, Sam and Julia Dieffenwierth of Venice, FL, Laine, Kenna, Jacie and Jarrett Dieffenwierth of Jacksonville, FL and Joshua and Benjamin Damkroger of Richardson, TX; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne White of Wylie, TX. He is predeceased by his first wife, Jeannelle White. He was born in Jacksonville.

Rev. White graduated from Florida Southern College and the seminary at Emory University. He served 40 years as a minister in the Florida conference of the Methodist Church. His assignments included Christ United Methodist in Bradenton (1976-1986), First United Methodist in Sebring (1988-1989) and Vero Beach First United Methodist (1965-1970). 

Rev. White served as president of Manatee Children's Services (1978-1980), establishing the first shelter home for abused and neglected children in Manatee County. He served on the board of Asbury Towers before it became Westminster Towers.

Patria E. Seda, 91, Bradenton, passed away July 3, 2014. Born in Rincon, Puerto Rico she moved to Bradenton 2007 from San Juan, Puerto Rico and attended Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church.

Survived by sister, Gloria S. (Jose) Matta of Bradenton, FL; nephews, Noel (Donna) Matta of Bradenton, FL and their children, Cara Pinto and Christian Renaud; niece, Gloria (Jeff) Pasuit of Orlando, FL and their children, Gloria V. and Jeffrey Pasuit; nephew, Dr. Jose (Gladys) Matta of Bradenton, FL and their children, Karen Matta (Paul) Toomey of Bradenton, FL with their daughter, Savannah Toomey and Vanessa (Michael) DeMocko of Bradenton, FL with their children, Caitlyn and Rafael James DeMocko.

A Memorial Service that will include Patria's sister, Rosa O. Seda, who passed away October 17, 2012, will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Ss Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church 2850 75th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
