Thomas Earl Pitkin, 77, of Bradenton, Florida, formally of Charles City, Iowa, passed away on October 31, 2023. Tom was born September 11, 1946. The son of George Pitkin and Bonnnie (Pringle) Pitkin.
He graduated from Charles City High School in 1964 and was drafted into the US Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam until 1968.
He was married to Sandy Hein on September 8, 1988, and in 1993 had their son Matthew.
Over the years Tom worked many jobs, but most enjoyed driving.
Living family members include his wife Sandy, his son Matthew (Ashley), grandson Cooper, granddaughter Callie, 4 sisters, Jean (Don) Buseman, Pat Rondei of Charles City, Bette Murray of Charles City and Denise Flick of Mason City, sister-in-law Sue Bancroft (Ralph) of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father George in 2018, mother Bonnie in 1964, brother-in-law Rick Murray.
His favorite past time was fishing and watching sports.
