Thomas "Tom" J. Yastrop, 75 of Bradenton, FL formerly of Northampton, PA passed away at home August 16th, 2024 with his wife Janet by his side. Born August 26th, 1948 in Allentown, PA he was the son of the late John and Mary (Kalavoda) Yastrop.

Tom had various jobs through his life but the most rewarding was the authentic restoration of their 1761 log and stone home in Northampton. His passion and dedication to preserving the homestead was his utmost priority.

Tom was an athlete enjoying skiing, windsurfing, racquetball, mountain biking and raced motocross. He built a motocross track in Slatington, PA where AMA sanctioned races were held. He was also an avid music lover and his stereo setup in his barn entertained many friends for years. That love of music got him to Bethel, NY in 1969 to the concert Woodstock. After losing a ride from Allentown, he hitchhiked 105 miles to the 3-day concert. Tom also had a skill of woodworking and recreated many 18th century style furniture pieces from reclaimed wood.

Tom is survived by his wife of 41 years Janet (Filoromo) Yastrop, a sister and brother, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.

Tom's smile and sense of humor will truly be missed by all that knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
