usic We The Kings to Put on Free Holiday Show in Palmetto

PALMETTO – Bradenton's hometown platinum-selling rock band We the Kings are returning to the area for a special free concert. The band's 6th annual Hometown Holiday Show will take place Dec. 27 at The Hall in Palmetto, a venue with a capacity of just under 1,000, where the band has previously sold out multiple shows.

Sarasota-based Boyce Avenue, who released their debut album All that We Have Left in 2010, is also slated to perform during the four-hour show, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

The band took their name after their junior-high alma mater King Middle School. Travis Clark is lead vocals and guitar, Hunter Thomsen is guitar and backing vocals, Drew Thomsen plays the bass and Danny Duncan is on the drums.

Last year, the members were honored b the Manatee BOCC with "We the Kings Day." The band is best known for the hit single Check Yes Juliet, which has sold more than 1 million copies.

Tickets will be given out on a first come first serve basis at the door. Meet and greet tickets will be available for $50 and include early entry to meet the band. Meet and greet tickets can be purchased only at Georgia Carpet World in Bradenton. Call 941-758-4425 for more information.
