Veronica (O’Krinsky) O’Leary, 92, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully on November 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family in Bradenton, FL.
Veronica was born November 30, 1929, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Daughter of Alexander and Ann. After high school, Veronica attended the New York Foundling Home for her nursing training. Veronica married the love of her life, Herbert O’Leary in 1951. Veronica’s love of children led her to Catholic Charities where she fostered infants over the course of 16 years. Veronica enjoyed many vacations with her husband to casinos, on cruises and the trip of their lifetime, Ireland. Veronica was extremely proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She loved to hear about their accomplishments.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Kristine and Norman Stern, Sharon and Dominic Santobuono and Ilene and Steve Leggett. She is survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Veronica was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bradenton.
