ANNA MARIA – Artspace Studios and Gallery, located on Anna Maria Island, will be hosting an artist's reception for local photographer, Christian Ulanch, on Friday, May 17 from 5:30-7:30 PM. The exhibit, PhotoNutt, highlights Ulanch's unique perspective of Anna Maria Island landmarks. It will show from May 7 to June 7, 2013.

Originally working in pastels and ink, Christian naturally progressed to photography after suffering a brain hemorrhage in the Gulf War. Over the past thirteen years, Ulanch has developed an eye for the unusual. During the reception, visitors will have opportunities to win prints of his work by correctly guessing locations depicted in Christian's photos.

A portion of the proceeds for this show will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in Chris' name. Donations will also be accepted at the reception. Artspace Studios and Gallery is located at 101 South Bay Blvd., Anna Maria.
