Video: Hunter Biden Sits Down for Three-Plus-Hour Longform Interview

Posted

This week, independent journalist Andrew Callaghan sat down with Hunter Biden for a no-holds-barred interview that covered everything from his struggles with addiction to the infamous laptop to the Democratic Party’s abandonment of his father’s 2024 campaign. The video represents, by far, the most comprehensive examination of the former first son’s dramatic story.

Biden, his laptop, and the salacious materials that were said to have been found on it were the most consistently sited Democratic issues on right-wing outlets like Fox News, News Nation, and News Max during Joe Biden’s term in office. I say “said to have been found” because Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani—who claims to have come into possession from a Christo-Fascist computer repairman with, shall we say, quixotic ideological ideas—only provided New York Post journalist Miranda Devine with a copied hard drive, while claiming to maintain the original. The physical laptop itself was not part of the investigation.

To be honest, I didn’t think much of the younger Biden going into the interview. However, his brutal honesty regarding his foibles, his deftness in arguing against the case made against him by right-wing media, and his impressive ability to articulate his positions on complex issues over a three-hour period changed my mind.

Compared to much shorter interviews with Jared Kushner, Don Jr., or even J.D. Vance, there is no question as to who comes across as most sincere and authentic, and there is hardly an IQ gap between Hunter and those aforementioned. Needless to say, I didn't bother going through that exercise with Eric.

Still, I’ll go a step further and say that I don’t think a roundtable discussion with every Trump, Clinton, Bush, and Obama scion could possibly hold my attention for 30 minutes, let alone three hours. That said, I watched this one in its entirety, eagerly, on my own time, after a long day of work, right before I took a vacation. That says more than I can express in words.

I didn't agree with everything Hunter Biden said, by any means, but I believed that he believed himself, and I'm afraid that goes a long way these days, folks. If only we could get every elected official to talk non-stop for three hours, perhaps we would have a better idea as to what they really think. Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments below.
