BRADENTON--The SCF Manatees have played just two games in the last month and needed a strong effort leading into next week's conference schedule. Reggie Bellamy's squad got back on the winning track with a 92-79 victory over Webber International University Friday night at Hal Chasey Gym.

The Manatees put together a balanced offensive attack against Webber with four players scoring in double figures. Jonathan Miller led SCF with 19 points. Josh Mason and Eric Halliwell added 16 points each and Markee Teal scored 14 points.

After falling behind by five points early in the first half, the Manatees came back to take a 42-37 lead at halftime.

Eric Halliwell had one of his best games of the season pulling down 8 rebounds on the offensive and defensive boards. Derek Miller hit a key three-pointer late in the second half to stifle a Webber comeback as the Warriors pulled to within two points.

Johnson Mesidor had an outstanding game for Webber (7-8) leading all scorers with 30 points in the game.

SCF (6-8) opens its Suncoast Conference schedule at Polk College Wednesday night. The Manatees return home on Saturday January 22 to face St. Petersburg College in a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
