In remembrance of Virginia J. Dobson, 88 of Bradenton, Florida. She was born November 22,1934 in Claiborne County, Tennessee to William and Elsie Johnson.
She and her family moved to Florida in 1964 where she lived until her passing on October 4, 2023. She was mother to three, grandmother to three, great-grandmother to 5 and great-great -grandmother to four.
She worked as an executive housekeeper for the Holiday Inn hotel chain until her retirement. She was a member in good standing of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sarasota Chapter, serving in several different roles including as Worthy Matron.
She loved to travel and did so as often as possible, visiting her friend in Alaska was her most memorable trip.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband George and her daughter Georgia E Ditto. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Dixon of Bradenton, son Walter (Butch) Dobson of Sarasota, grandson Bryan (Wendy) Dixon of Bradenton, granddaughter Carrie (Gary) Renninger of Parrish, grandson Eric Ditto of Flat Rock, Ohio, 5 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and all of her friends and the wonderful staff at Freedom Village Care Center. We will certainly miss her spunk.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to Alzheimer's research.
