Virginia C. Martenson passed away in Bradenton, Florida on July 6, 2024. She is survived by her two children, William J. Seipel of Lakewood Ranch, FL (wife, Karen) and Clare Seipel of El Dorado, KS, also four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Harry, of Fullerton, CA, and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and St. Joseph Business School in Columbus.

She was a resident of Freedom Village of Bradenton for many years and served on several committees during her life there. She was especially proud to have chaired the Memorial Scholarship Program and then became an active member.

In 2021, she won the "Wish of a Lifetime" award in honor of her mother, Clara Callahan, who served as a registered nurse in WWl. She and her granddaughter traveled to Washington D.C. to visit the Women in Military Service for America Memorial.

Virginia traveled extensively during her lifetime and enjoyed many cruises with her late husband, Herbert Martenson, who passed away in 2016.

She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Bradenton where a Memorial Mass will be held on August 1, 2024 at 9:30 am.
