Virginia Ellen "Ginny" Perando, 74, quietly departed this life on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. She was born August 15, 1949, to the late James Earven Jeffreys and Nettie Margret Teeter in Burlington, NC. She attended public schools in Rockville, MD, and graduated from Richard Montgomery HS in 1967. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelor degree from University of Maryland and a Master's degree from American University in 1994.

She was married to Scott A. Perando on July 3, 1992, for 31 years and previously was married to Frank Worthington, III. She was a Program/Project Manager with the DOT / FAA and retired in 2016. Mrs. Perando was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 24 in Bradenton, FL.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Francis Kay Thomas and brothers, James Jeffreys, Michael Jeffreys. She is survived by her husband, Scott A. Perando of Bradenton, FL; sister, Patricia Worthington of Manassas, VA; brother, William Boyd Jeffreys of Palm Coast, FL; her daughter, Virginia M. Blackwell of Manassas, VA; step-sons, Timothy Perando, of Germantown, MD, and Christopher Perando of Ijamsville, MD, and 3 grandchildren Cedric J. Blackwell, II, of Salisbury, NC, Allysa Perando of USNA Annapolis, MD, Austin Perando of Ijamsville, MD, and two great-daughters, Isabelle and Amethyst Blackwell.

A Visitation will be held 5 PM to 7 PM, Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
