Bradenton, Florida - Vonna Lou Fulks, 84, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024. Born on February 5, 1940, in Cabell County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Oretha McDonie.
In 1972, Vonna relocated to Bradenton with her family, where she spent many happy years. She dedicated 25 years of her career to the Tropicana Glass Plant, retiring in 2003 with the plant's closing.
Vonna had a deep love for nature, finding joy in bird watching and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Candace Fulks. Vonna is survived by her loving children, Angela Mohr and Bruce Mohr. She proudly leaves behind seven grandchildren: Joshua and Nicholas Shupert, Vonna Connors, Talia Fulks, Jared Mohr, Deborah Kimbel, and Kimberly Piesowocki; and four great-grandchildren: Bradley Shupert, Keaton Holland, Candace Connors, and Adelaide Piesowocki. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings: Joyce Johnson, Brenda Newman, Sharon Harbour, and Troy McDonie.
Vonna will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the 53rd Ave. Church of Christ from 2 to 3 p.m. to celebrate her life.
