W. Edward (Ed) Johns

W. Edward (Ed) Johns, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend, passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 90. Ed was born on September 22, 1934 in Ligonier, PA, to the late William and Mary Johns.

Ed graduated from Penn State University and then married the love of his life, Marjorie Barron, on September 3, 1955. Ed and Marge moved to Tucson, AZ with their daughter Ann in 1959. Ed started as a P.E. Teacher in the Amphi School District and then became a pharmaceutical salesman in 1964. In 1982 he moved to the Phoenix, AZ area where he stayed until he retired to Ellenton, FL in 2001.

Ed was preceded in death by Marjorie, his wife of 59 years, his father and mother, William and Mary Johns, brothers Harold and Robert Johns, and sister Virginia Turrill, all of PA.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Ann Harman, of Bradenton, FL; son Allan Johns (Liz) of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Nancy Eisenhauer (Ike) of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren Ray Gaub, Kenn Gaub, Sarah Johns-Wallace (Mike), Russell Johns; great-granddaughter Mia Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed’s Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at the Parrish United Methodist Church Historic Chapel, located at 12180 US-301, Parrish, FL.
