Weekend Adventures in Bradenton: July 15-17

Posted

BRADENTON -- Get downtown to watch a movie Friday night with Reels at Rossi, catch a ballgame this weekend or make your way over to Ace's where the Chris Duarte Group will bring their potent blues/jazz sound for one of the area's biggest local concerts. The action is as thick as the humid summer air in this Weekend's Adventure!

On Friday night grab the family and enjoy a movie at Rossi Park park along with some Toni's ice cream. This week's movie, sponsored by Promenade at Riverwalk, is a documentary-concert of pop star Justin Bieber, called Never Say Never.

The movie starts at sunset, and here is a little secret for you -- the first 50 people to tell Toni's ice cream vendor, "We love Promenade at Riverwalk" will get a free ice cream cone. The ice cream arrives at 7:45, so hurry up and don't miss out on sweet, cold ice cream and the chance to learn about and sing along with Justin Bieber.

If Justin Bieber and ice cream just isn't your thing, perhaps a cold beer and some live music is. Get ready to dance to some fresh blues/rock/jazz with the Chris Duarte Group at Ace's on Friday night. Locals, TC and the Troublemakers, will be opening for them.

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Ace's with live music, a refreshing drink and good company. Save a few bucks and buy your tickets in advance!

On Sunday the Marauders are back in town, taking on the Dunedin Blue Jay's. This isn't just any baseball game, but will also be a chance for the Marauder's to promote our own local agriculture.

Come on out to the ball game and enjoy Local Grower's Night. Afterwards, let the kids release some energy as they have the opportunity to run the bases, just like the Marauders do!
