Weekend Adventures in Bradenton: July 19-21, 2013

Posted

The Marauders are in the middle of a big home stand, giving you a chance to get out to the new stadium. The Manatee Players have a new movie program at their new facility AND it's Snooty's birthday, so you can go over to the South Florida Museum and get in on the party. Grab your glove, butter the popcorn and pick up a birthday card, it's time for a Weekend Adventure in Bradenton!

The new Manatee Performing Arts Center is alive with a FREE, adult-only Music & Movies series this summer. Arrive at 6 p.m. and enjoy a lively cabaret with entertainment before the movie starts at 7. Food and libations are available for purchase.

This Sunday's film is Fried Green Tomatoes. A Housewife unhappy with her life befriends an old lady in a nursing home and is enthralled by the tales she tells of people she used to know. There will be a pre-film cabaret with the bluegrass band The Wirebeaters, starting at 6!
