Weekend Adventures in Bradenton, July 23-25

Posted

BRADENTON -- It's a great weekend for baseball. The home team is in town, so get over to McKechnie and catch a game as the Marauders host a 4-game series with FSL North 1st-half champs, the Dunedin Blue Jays. The Marauders are in hot pursuit of a playoff spot, as the season's homestretch begins.

The team's done so well this year that their biggest problem has been sending too much talent toward the majors. It's a great chance to see the stars of tomorrow up close and personal at one of the best minor league parks in the country.

If we've gotten your appetite wet for music, have no fear. Ace's Lounge will host a very special performance by T.C. Ridge and Michael Allman, who are in the midst of their Breaking Your Back for the Man tour. Get over to Ace's and catch this national southern rock act at the best road house in SW Florida!

On Sunday, get your lazy butt to the beach and chill out. After a rainy start, it's been a beautiful summer, but there's less than a month before school's back for most parents and students. It's too easy to forget about the paradise at our footsteps, but life is too short to miss a sunset, so pack up the gear and don't forget the sunblock!
