BRADENTON – Live music, a big antiques, arts and craft fair and nature photography are all offered this weekend. Eat Here in downtown Sarasota will host back-to-back musical performances Friday and Saturday night, with five piece improv jazz band Bird Tribe performing on Friday and blues songstress Twinkle performing on Saturday. Casual and serious photographer enthusiasts alike have the chance to capture scrub jays in the wild at Duette Preserve. If you'd rather go shopping for household treasures on Saturday

morning, Mixon Fruit Farms will hold a Summer Antiques, Arts and Crafts Fair. Prepare to get rocked, grab your camera and sense of adventure, and get ready to go treasure hunting: it's time for a Weekend Adventure!

If improvisational jazz and funk music sounds exciting to you, Bird Tribe Jaz Funk Band will be offering it for three hours straight on Friday night on Main Street Sarasota. 

Bird Tribe Jaz Funk Band is a five-piece improvisational jazz group. The line-up includes keyboardist Matthew Frost and the drummer and bassist from Dickey Betts & Great Southern.

At Duette Preserve, participants will be traveling by covered wagon to the best areas in the preserve to photograph scrub jays. As participants will be moving in areas that do not have trails and have heavy brush cover, this program is only recommended for those photographers with a sense of adventure. Program suitable for participants age 13 and older. Reservations are required. Please call 941-742-5757 ext. 9.

Mixon Fruit Farms is having a Summer Antiques, Arts and Crafts Fair every 4th Saturday through September. The fair is from 9am to 3pm. There will be many amazing artists and collectors in the back of the plant and on the front porch selling all those wonderful things every one needs, from pot scrubbers & household items to necklaces and purses. 

After shopping, stop in at Mixon’s Deli and try their famous Cuban sandwich and Orange Swirl Ice Cream. Mixon also has Tram tours running all day that take visitors through our grove and learn about our 75 year History before ending at our Wildlife rescue preserve. Mixon Fruit farms is a place to make memories!
