BRADENTON — It's another weekend, and you know what that means. If you guessed another great lineup of local, talented musicians in Manatee, Sarasota, and surrounding counties, you would be correct. Charles Parker
The Ugly Grouper
Friday - 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Shaped by a menagerie of influences that resonate from the likes of Kiss, Elvis, The Beatles, Alan Jackson, Tom Petty, The Eagles and every glam metal band in between, Charles Parker's unique and contemporary sound is a meld of pop and rock dusted with a hint of Americana, folk and country blues.

"My heart is not in it to cater to a specific genre, nor put in a box. I just write in the moment and write what moves me. I hope my music lends itself to a greater audience, young and old, on any music channel."

Charles released his debut album, BRING BACK THE SUN, in 2017; the 15-track project showcases infectious melodies and refreshing vulnerability. The title track ("Bring Back The Sun") charted at #81 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart. Charles is in the studio recording a series of tracks set to rollout just "When Jesus Calls." No cover.

Jah Movement
Bridge Tender Inn

The winner of Manasota Honors 2021 Musical Artist of the Year, reggae band Jah Movement features a glorifying sound where individual talents of each member come together. Highlighting the talented ensemble is hometown hero and vocalist extraordinaire Shantel Norman. Adding their own touch of R&B, soul and funk to some of the best live reggae music, Jah Movement has won the hearts of many across the Suncoast and creates a show that can’t be missed. No cover. 

About the venue:

Established 30 years ago, Bridge Tender Inn (BTI) is Bradenton’s favorite sports bar and grille to eat, drink, and socialize while watching a televised sports event. You can chug beers, eat lip-smacking food, enjoy live music, and make great memories in a comfy, laid-back setting.

This Packer bar is owned by Fred Bartizal and has a staff of 50+ veteran servers who love to offer the best drink-and-dine experience to their guests. The general manager, Sue, has been here for 25+ years and the assistant manager, Shannon, has been here for 10+ years. They’re the ones that oversee making that experience happen!

Glass Onion Beatles Tribute Band
Music in the Park

Known as "The Sound of The Beatles", Glass Onion is Southwest Florida's Premier Beatles cover band. Playing all your favorite Beatles tunes since 2008. With impressive sound and lights, they bring the music of the Beatles to life in a dynamic show. No cover.

Appalachian Road Show
Fogartyville
Friday - 8:00 p.m.

Appalachian Road Show is a visionary acoustic ensemble, bringing new-generation interpretations of traditional Americana, bluegrass and folk songs, as well as offering innovative original music, all presented with a common thread tied directly to the heart of the Appalachian regions of the United States.

GRAMMY-nominated banjoist Barry Abernathy, joins forces with GRAMMY-winning fiddler Jim VanCleve, fresh off of his recent stint touring with multi-platinum country artist Josh Turner, as well as esteemed vocalist and mandolinist Darrell Webb, who has recorded and toured with Dolly Parton and Rhonda Vincent, among many others.

The group also includes 26-year-old “old soul” guitarist Zeb Snyder, whose fierce and versatile playing recalls Doc Watson and Norman Blake as readily as it does Duane Allman and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

La Casita Taco Truck will be serving food beginning at 6 p.m.

Jazz Under the Stars: SRQUINTET

Superb and smooth jazz! SRQuintet plays everything from songbook standards to bebop classics, blue note gems, Bossa Nova favorites, and new original tunes, the quintet is a can't-miss feature of the Sarasota jazz scene.

SRQuintet is committed to exploring the music of the jazz canon. Band members: Chris Kottke on trumpet, John Wheatley on tenor sax, Jim Lemli on guitar, Don Colladay on bass, and Pete Szujewski on drums.

The Reserve Retreat is a unique property.

Chef Richard Smith has taken our food- American fare served in a casual, fine-dining atmosphere- to a whole new level of excellence! He continually revamps and expands our menu. Chef, who has more than 10 years of experience cooking French cuisine, looks forward to garnering rave reviews when customers sample items such as Steak & Shrimp Diane or Chicken Marsala. Phoenix5
Motorworks Brewing

Phoenix5 is a funk, soul & reggae collective comprised of some of central Florida’s most seasoned musicians. The band comprises a core 5-piece that can scale up to an 8-piece with the addition of the “Rising Horns” section. Phoenix5 delivers a high-powered, groove-oriented experience guaranteed to entertain.

The band is known for delivering unique new spins on classic radio tunes from artists like Lenny Kravitz, The Beatles, Dua Lipa, Gnarly’s Barkely, Megan Trainor, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Marley to name a few.

Venue: BRADENTON’S BEER GARDEN AND TAPROOM - Join us for a lovely afternoon or evening in our famous Beer Garden under a 150-year-old oak tree or enjoy our Taproom that is full of our great beers, wine, spirits, and cocktails.

We strive to fine-tune award-winning craft beer delivered to satisfy anyone’s palate. Our beers and service are performance-driven, the same as the Hudson service center housed in our brewery during the 1940s and 50s.

Based on weather conditions, Live Music may be performed in the Taproom.

James Varnado Blues Jam
Cottonmouth 
Sunday - 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Join James Varnado as he hosts Cottonmouth’s Sunday "Jazz and Blues Open Jam." Born in New Orleans, James Varnado relocated to Florida’s Gulf Coast in 2006. The locally known and respected drummer has years of performances under his belt. Varnado has performed and toured with the likes of George Porter Jr (The Meters), Charmaine Neville (Neville Bros Family), Tab Benoit, Mem Shannon Blues Band, Jon Cleary, Dickey Betts (of the Allman Brothers), The Dixie Cups (Doo Wop), and has shared the stage with various local bands.

The venue's stable Sunday jam offers audiences something a bit more like a variety show, leading the jam with opening songs, and welcoming a rotation of other talented local guest musicians to join the stage. No cover.
