BRADENTON — It's another weekend, and you know what that means. If you guessed another great lineup of local, talented musicians in Manatee, Sarasota, and surrounding counties, you would be correct. Hot Club of SRQ -

The heart of this ensemble is the violin and vocals of Keven Aland, the guitar of Jon McLaughlin and bass playing of Glenn Stevenson. Their string jazz ensemble has been thoughtfully cultivated and crafted for over a decade. There is a genuine warmth and connection that is unique to this ensemble. This group can swing ferociously then suddenly hypnotize you with a beautiful ballad.

Beyond the genre of Gypsy Jazz, their vast repertoire includes Rumba Flamenco, Bossanova, Samba, Tango, BeBop, Modern Jazz, swing, Afro Cuban and the great American songbook. All members of HCSRQ have education backgrounds in Music Performance and have been commissioned to write, arrange and perform a variety of world music over the years including dances from Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, an Appalachian arrangement and a "Broadway" themed performance at the Straz Center in Tampa. No cover.

Located in Bradenton Florida's Village of the Arts,  Birdrock Taco Shack is not your average taco joint, but a unique funky-fun taco spot and live music venue. Owner and chef David Shiplett (who also owns the popular Cottonmouth South Soul Kitchen) doesn't serve up just any tacos. Dave has worked as a Chef in San Francisco, San Diego, Sarasota, and now Bradenton. Dine inside the eclectic artsy shack or outdoors on the porch and back patio. John Primer
Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen

John Primer has undisputedly helped build the sound and style of Chicago blues as we know it today. The echos of tradition bellowing from the birthplaces he played such as: Maxwell Street, Theresa's, Checkerboard and Rosa's Lounges, pulse from every chord in his fingers today. John Primer is a Chicago Blues Living Legend.

Two-time Grammy nominated artist and American blues legend John Primer was the bandleader and guitarist for Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and Magic Slim & The Teardrops. Having played or recorded with a who's who of blues greats including Junior Wells, Gary Clark Jr., Derek Trucks, Johnny Winter, The Rolling Stones and Buddy Guy to name a few, John Primer's personal accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, reflect his countless contributions to the history of Chicago blues. There are very few fans, critics or musicians who will deny the fact that John Primer is the real deal. Cover $25 pre/$30 DOS

This highly expressing band founded by singer/songwriter, Yassine K. Hamidi, delivers a unique combination of music inspired by his North African Roots, Arabic culture, Western Pop music and Reggae Conscience. From the infectious spiritual rhythms of Gnawa music, thru the mystical mountains of Andalusia riffs, under the urban grounds of HipHop & RnB, and out of the uplifting fountain of Reggae Vibrations; Treedomm’s musical creativity paired with melismatic vocals evokes depth, beauty and absolute raw talent. No cover.

Al Fuller

Al Fuller, well known amongst Sarasota’s music lovers and in the community of musicians has been an accomplished musician since his youth. Al has brought his playing skills to the foreground, and developed those special relationships it takes to create a band that works well, and works together. Rich MacDonald has been Al's drummer for a number of years, and more recent addition, Barry Sikes, joined the newly formed Al Fuller and the Moonlight Movers in 2019 as bassist. Their music includes great rock and roll cover tunes, and an assortment of blues, R&B, soul and country.

Al Fuller is solo this performance. Cover $5

Bruce Katz, pianist/keyboardist is a 30 year veteran of the music business, Katz has released 10 albums as leader of his own band. He has appeared on over 70 albums by other artists and toured with many others. His resume includes work with the likes of Ronnie Earl, John Hammond, Delbert McClinton, Gregg Allman, Duke Robillard, Little Milton, Maria Muldaur, Jimmy Witherspoon, Paul Rishell, Mighty Sam McClain, Debbie Davies and David “Fathead” Newman.

In 2019, Katz was awarded the Blues Music Award for Best Acoustic Album for Journeys To The Heart Of The Blues with Joe Louis Walker and Giles Robson.

Aaron Lieberman (guitar and vocals ) has joined the Bruce Katz Band. Aaron is a tremendous guitar player and musically rich and soulful vocalist. Aaron was a founding member, guitarist and singer for God Street Wine and has played with Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and many others over his 30 year span as a professional musician.

Aaron's energy and abilities bring a new chemistry to the Bruce Katz Band.

Liviu Pop (drums) is a very in demand drummer in the New York/New England Blues and Jazz world. Originally from Romania, he lives in Hartford, CT. Liviu has played with Lucky Peterson, Mighty Sam McClain, Hubert Sumlin and literally too many other important national and regional musicians to list here. A charismatic and exciting drummer, Liviu always has the groove in his playing but also stands out with his fiery spontaneity. He is one of the few that can play blues, jazz and all shades of American roots styles with authority and originality. Liviu has also been inducted into the Connecticut Blues Hall of Fame.

Killik’s Kitchen Hawaiian inspired food truck will be serving beginning at 6 p.m.
