BRADENTON — It's another weekend, and you know what that means. If you guessed another great lineup of local, talented musicians in Manatee, Sarasota, and surrounding counties, you would be correct. Jah Movement 
Bridge Tender Inn
Friday - 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The winner of Manasota Honors 2021 Musical Artist of the Year, reggae band Jah Movement features a glorifying sound where individual talents of each member come together. Highlighting the talented ensemble is hometown hero and vocalist extraordinaire Shantel Norman. Adding their own touch of R&B, soul and funk to some of the best live reggae music, Jah Movement has won the hearts of many across the Suncoast and creates a show that can’t be missed. No cover. 

About the venue:

Established 30 years ago, Bridge Tender Inn (BTI) is Bradenton’s favorite sports bar and grille to eat, drink, and socialize while watching a televised sports event. You can chug beers, eat lip-smacking food, enjoy live music, and make great memories in a comfy, laid-back setting.

This Packer bar is owned by Fred Bartizal and has a staff of 50+ veteran servers who love to offer the best drink-and-dine experience to their guests. The general manager, Sue, has been here for 25+ years and the assistant manager, Shannon, has been here for 10+ years. They’re the ones that oversee making that experience happen!

Apostoli Floyd

Noriko Apostoli Giorgio Floyd, grew up listening to all genres of music. Mixed with Greek, Black American, and being a world traveler by age 6, his range of cultural understanding engulfed him in all forms of art and expression.

As a singer-songwriter, composer, and producer, Apostoli fuses the healing sounds of smooth r&b, deep funk, modern pop & jazz, powered by the soul and feelings of the blues.

Apostoli Floyd's passion for music extends beyond his own performances, as he is also a sought-after producer and collaborator, he has worked with a variety of other artists in the industry, helping them to develop their sound and bring their own unique musical visions to life.

With his unique blend of blues, funk, and R&B, Apostoli Floyd has established himself as an artist to watch in the music industry. Greg Roy
Birdrock Taco Shack

Vocalist. Song Writer. Musician. Spirit. Greg Roy is best known for his fiery stage presence and uplifting, poetic performance style. Originating from Montego Bay, Jamaica, Greg Roy has been capturing audiences through his creation and delivery of roots reggae and dancehall music.

Located in Bradenton Florida's Village of the Arts, Birdrock Taco Shack is not your average taco joint, but a unique funky-fun taco spot and live music venue. Owner and chef David Shiplett (who also owns the popular Cottonmouth South Soul Kitchen) doesn't serve up just any tacos. Dave has worked as a Chef in San Francisco, San Diego, Sarasota, and now Bradenton. Dine inside the eclectic artsy shack or outdoors on the porch and back patio. Southbound 75
Motorworks Brewing

Having traveled extensively throughout the country, Southbound 75 has been making their mark in the heart of country music, Nashville, Tennessee. They have performed at prestigious venues such as The Ryman Concert Series, Wildhorse Saloon, NBC’s "Today in Nashville," and the renowned "Whiskey Jam." Their captivating performances have even earned them coveted slots at high-profile events like WQYK'S Guitar Pull, The New Country 103.1 Rib Round-Up, The Field Of Dreams & Grand Slam Country Festivals, and the recurring High Seas Rally Cruise.

The Black Snake Bayou Band is a hearty group of seasoned musicians that call the Sarasota area home. With infectious, danceable, Southern grooves, they take you on a high wire journey through life as seen through the eyes of the renegade you wanna be. Where the good guy doesn't always win, and the rules don't always apply, and yet, truth and honor reign supreme. Their songs are a musical gumbo of rock, blues alternative country, and much, much more. No cover.

PLAY IT AGAIN - A Luke Bryan Tribute Band

One of the biggest modern Country acts in recent years is Luke Bryan. “PLAY IT AGAIN” is a fantastic live tribute band show dedicated to the great tunes from this renowned artist. 

They also cover several other similar modern country artists to round out the show. So, dig out those boots, find them jeans and have some good old fashion fun.

About the venue:

Located riverside, Caddy's Bradenton can be reached by foot from the nearby Riverwalk Park, by car, or by boat via the Manatee River. This pet-friendly tropical-themed venue has scenic riverside views, two large tiki huts, and an outdoor stage. They offer a full bar with local craft beers and an American food menu. 801 Riverside Drive East, Bradenton.

Jack'd Up
Clancy's Irish Sports Pub & Grill
Saturday - 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Avid musician and guitarist, Kurt Kiehnle, founded a local band that was recently nominated “Best Musical Group”, by the prestigious Sarasota Herald-Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards 2022. This musical rock sensation, that goes by the wacky name of Jack’d Up, expressed immense happiness and gratitude to all listeners for recognizing their efforts and hard work. Kurt, fondly known as K Rock, rose to fame quickly when he established the band in 2018.

Jack’d Up can be best described as a modern, fun and high-energy rock n roll cover band, that specializes in playing dance and party hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today. In their own words, “we will make you drink, dance and party all night long!”

Clancy’s Irish Sports Pub is in Bradenton off Cortez Rd. Clancy’s is known for its bar-fare food, full liquor bar, live entertainment, and, most of all – fun! Their casual and relaxed atmosphere has been described as, "Irish Tavern meets Jimmy Buffet." Music is provided inside and outside, with their outdoor venue featuring a coastal vibe and famous Tiki-hut bar. 6218 Cortez Road West, Bradenton.

Al Fuller 
Tamiami Tap

Al Fuller, well known amongst Sarasota’s music lovers and in the community of musicians has been an accomplished musician since his youth. Al has brought his playing skills to the foreground, and developed those special relationships it takes to create a band that works well, and works together. Rich MacDonald has been Al's drummer for a number of years, and more recent addition, Barry Sikes, joined the newly formed Al Fuller and the Moonlight Movers in 2019 as bassist. Their music includes great rock and roll cover tunes, and an assortment of blues, R&B, soul and country.

James Varnado Blues Jam

Join James Varnado as he hosts Cottonmouth’s Sunday "Jazz and Blues Open Jam." Born in New Orleans, James Varnado relocated to Florida’s Gulf Coast in 2006. The locally known and respected drummer has years of performances under his belt. Varnado has performed and toured with the likes of George Porter Jr (The Meters), Charmaine Neville (Neville Bros Family), Tab Benoit, Mem Shannon Blues Band, Jon Cleary, Dickey Betts (of the Allman Brothers), The Dixie Cups (Doo Wop), and has shared the stage with various local bands.

The venue's stable Sunday jam offers audiences something a bit more like a variety show, leading the jam with opening songs, and welcoming a rotation of other talented local guest musicians to join the stage. No cover.
