Jazz Night with The Chaunces Trio
Oscura
Thursday - 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

"Chaunces, Chance Reynolds, is a local drummer in the manatee area who started making beats in Jr. High via the school’s band program.

Post graduation, Chance joined his current band in 2020 and continues with the same love he started with.

Chaunces can be found playing traditional trio gigs these days and it seems to be what live music goers are gravitating to. For Reynolds, production and live entertainment are his driving talents which is what introduced him to Oscura Performing Art’s Center." - Jade Perkins

Actual Bank Robbers is a 5-piece pop-rock band based out of Tampa, FL. Comprised of musicians who met while working at a theme park, the band’s carefree Top 40 show has become a favorite of Tampa audiences. Their debut album Checklist was released in 2016 and earned them a spot in Nashville’s Whiskey Jam, a headlining show at Busch Gardens Tampa, a finalist slot in Hard Rock Tampa’s Hard Rock Rising competition, opening act slots for acts such as Magic Giant and Wheatus, two performances at St. Peterburg’s Jannus Live, and features in several online publications. Playing hits from a wide span of artists ranging from Nirvana to the Spice Girls, the band’s high energy pop-rock show has traveled the country, and continues to entertain audiences of all ages.

Cousin Curtiss brings to the stage a fiery dynamic rarely seen by a solo act and now partnered up with the equally enigmatic and soulfully driven electric guitar prowess of Harrison B, these two road warriors are on a mission to electrify audiences everywhere with their two-man full-band sound. Think, "blues at bluegrass speeds." Imagine, "rock americana with a soulful drip." Experience rapid fire acoustic guitar, incendiary harmonica, fiercely energized solos, all driven by a thunderous kick drum.

Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, the Tony-winning musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to, as wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron, the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33.

Taste and Toast featuring Rob Langdon

The Palmetto Marriott is proud to announce that Florida native and rising country-rock artist Rob Langdon will be the headlining live performer at this year’s highly anticipated Taste and Toast event, taking place on Saturday, May 3rd.

A son of the Sunshine State, Langdon’s musical journey took flight in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains while attending Appalachian State University. Splitting time between the baseball diamond and late-night jam sessions, he quickly found himself performing for enthusiastic crowds in the local bars of Boone, NC.

Langdon later took his talents to Nashville, where his distinctive sound—a gritty blend of rock and roll energy with country storytelling charm—earned him a spot sharing the stage with rising acts like Ole 60. Deeply inspired by the Texas music scene, Rob’s performances are heartfelt, high-energy, and rooted in raw, authentic songwriting.

Billy Lyon started in 2002 as the lead singer of a rock band based in Donegal, Ireland. Hot Club of SRQ -

The heart of this ensemble is the violin and vocals of Keven Aland, the guitar of Jon McLaughlin and bass playing of Glenn Stevenson. Their string jazz ensemble has been thoughtfully cultivated and crafted for over a decade. There is a genuine warmth and connection that is unique to this ensemble. This group can swing ferociously then suddenly hypnotize you with a beautiful ballad.

Beyond the genre of Gypsy Jazz, their vast repertoire includes Rumba Flamenco, Bossanova, Samba, Tango, BeBop, Modern Jazz, swing, Afro Cuban and the great American songbook. All members of HCSRQ have education backgrounds in Music Performance and have been commissioned to write, arrange and perform a variety of world music over the years including dances from Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, an Appalachian arrangement and a "Broadway" themed performance at the Straz Center in Tampa.
