Will Robinson and Bill Conerly Win Landslide Victories in Florida House Races

Posted

MANATEE COUNTY — In the Florida House D71 race, incumbent Republican Will Robinson defeated Democratic challenger Adriaan DeVilliers, 59% to 41%.

Despite profound pushback from engaged voters of all stripes for his support of developer special interests, Robinson seemed to be able to ride the coattails of Donald Trump with straight-ticket voters to victory.

In the Florida House District 72 race, Republican Bill Connerly, another developer-sponsored candidate, seemed able to likewise ride Trump’s coattails to cruise past Democrat Lesa Miller 65% to 35% for the seat vacated by Republican Tommy Gregory, who was selected as President of State College of Florida.
